Volunteers are the backbone of the Cape Henlopen Boys Soccer Boosters. Their dedication ensures that our athletes have the resources, support, and encouragement they need to succeed. From organizing events to fundraising and providing essential services, volunteers help create a thriving sports community that benefits everyone involved.

Chip in on a Committee

Our committees play a crucial role in the success of the Cape Henlopen Boys Soccer program. Even small contributions from committee members make a big impact, helping us organize events, fundraise, and support our athletes throughout the entire year. Want to participate? Let us know.

Concessions

Purchase concession items. Organize any donations.  Secure volunteers for each concessions event. Setup concessions in timely manner, or secure volunteers and oversee setup. Order hot food items for pickup or delivery. Prepare menu board(s). Takedown of all concessions, including cleaning up of concession stand, locking up items in soccer closet, concessions locker and refrigerator. Prep cash box with starter cash. Count cash box at end of concessions, fill out reconciliation sheet, and make cash deposit.

Banquet

Secure venue, decorations, menu planning, coordinate event date with coach, plan, order and wrap senior, coach and team gifts.

Charity & Senior Night

Choose charity for donations secured on charity night. Communicate with individual or organization ahead of time to plan. Provide decorations, ads, etc. Follow up with check to give to charity.

Coordinate with coaching staff. Purchase gifts for seniors- historically 1)an action shot poster to hang on the fence and be given to player afterwards 2) giant cookie with player name and number 3) flowers for player’s mother 4) fathead with headshot

Family Giving

Assist in coordination of our annual family giving fundraiser (normally Give Butter).

Sponsorships

Solicit sponsorships from local businesses. Communicate with businesses for logo prep, banner prep. Order banners. Place banners in stadium.Send thank you notes to business sponsors. Prepare a list of sponsors to be read at every home game. Maintain spreadsheet for future use.

Varsity College Trip

Assist in the selection of the location and procurement of housing, food and related activites.

Team Dinners

Quarterback the team dinner signup and possibly sponsored dinners from local restaurants.

3v3 Tournament & BBQ

Our traditional end to the preseason is a fun 3v3 tournament for the kids and a potluck social for the whole family.
